S8932 - Fluorapatite on Siderite cast - $500
Panasqueira Mine, Barroca Grande, Portugal
Overall Size: 8 x 6.2 cm
Interesting siderite cast that was probably on a quartz crystal at one time but has since slid off,
it is still sculpturally pleasing from several angles. Gem quality purple-gray apatites up to 1.2 cm
in length sit studded on the outer surface to form the classic Panasqueira look. Some chipping
is present otherwise the value would greatly increase, a steal if you don't have to have a perfect

S8933 - Aquamarine with Quartz - $2800 SOLD
Shigar Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan

dimensional form on this very fine aquamarine as well as having the cleavelandite as support. Even
though this mineral is common upscale pieces are scarce even from Pakistan. A large part of the

S8935 - Elbaite with Lepidolite - $6800 SOLD
Pederneira Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Overall Size: 7.5 x 6.2 x 4.5 cm
While slender repaired tourmalines from this famous pegmatite have been available in recent
years, wide unrepaired crystals with substantial amounts of purple lepidolite are exceedingly
rare. This elbaite of 5 x 5 cm in size is not only exceptional but arousing with its balance of colors.
Normally the bluish gray hue would be unappealing from here except this beauty shows rich deep
red zoning on the terminations. Matrix from Brazil has always been hard to find if compared to other
worldwide localities and singles are commonplace for the country. Therefore the lilac base on this
small cabinet put it on the short list of matchless examples, plus the overall color composite
demands attention adding greatly to its value that is worth every penny.
