Chivor is the oldest of the Colombian mines dating to many centuries, fine specimens are still
unearthed today although large 4 inch matrix pieces are infrequently seen. This upright emerald
of 1 cm in size may sound small but its glass like qualities reach the ultimate level of excellence
for the mineral, perhaps this one must be seen in person. Truly amazing worthy of any museum
collection as specimens of such magnitude are hard to obtain especially from the most famous
of mines! Opportune time to buy, no damage.

Overall Size: 5 x 5 cm
Not much that the photos don't show! The complex surface is captivating enough to own such a
garnet but with inner gem red color it's unbelievable for the species. Absolutely pristine all around,
no problems of any kind just glassy intricate stepped faces in addition to the wing of lustrous
white cleavelandite, many were loose in the pocket. Notice the dimensions are exactly 5 x 5 cm in
overall size, if miniatures are a favorite it will be a tall order to get better, aesthetically shaped too.

Highly glassy transparent vibrant green crystals up to 1 cm long sit frozen in grayish-white calcite
matrix of 6.5 x 5.2 cm in size, nothing quite like Colombian pieces as many possess the unreal
glowing saturation and clarity to be the epitome of emeralds. For the price the one here is a good
deal when taking into account the gem value. In fine condition.

Overall Size: 4.7 x 3.4 x 2.5 cm
A neat rock showing super transparency along with high luster on this heart shaped twin propped
up upon some matrix to form a cerussite of 4.7 x 3.4 x 2.5 cm in all 3 dimensions. Main crystal of
4 cm in length is damage free, important to note since a lot have bruised edges or chips, the
species is brittle so to find one in near pristine condition is a small miracle.

Interesting partial cube that has been naturally etched on all sides except the glassy corner, it is a
unique characteristic from the mine as many fluorite localities cannot compare to the distinctive
visual impact from this now closed producer of fine mineral specimens, an American treasure.
Great size as well measuring 9.7 x 8.2 cm, would make for a proud display piece.

The famous lapis deposit in Afghanistan has the best inky-blue crystals known, sharp and always
frozen in marble matrix. One popular mineral since its discovery centuries ago if not more in
demand today with the lapidary trade driving additional mining for rough. The nicely centered
lazurite of 2.2 cm across is a must have collectible and why not as it's highly appealing.

Super barite! Glassy and sharp fairly gemmy rich deep golden crystals up to 3.1 cm in length partially
cover a matrix of 7.5 x 5.3 cm in overall size, quite delightful to the eye are the color zoned xtls, not to
mention for the species. This specimen is unusual and exhibits characteristics rarely seen from other
mines. A striking stunner that can be displayed several different ways.

On only a few occasions do we see topaz from here, it has nicely crossed crystals of 3 cm in length
sitting clustered together to form a good miniature of 5.2 x 3.5 cm in size, double termination too.

Very colorful for a spinel! Fairly large single glassy transparent to translucent rich deep blood-red
crystal measuring 3.5 x 3 cm in overall size. Truly a remarkable piece from the historic Mogok
mining area in Burma, in fine condition.
