Almost every collector of worldwide minerals wants a legrandite because of the exceptional crystal
growth from this famous mine as well as pure orange to yellow color which is only seen in a small
percentage of known rare species like the one pictured above. This very attractive zinc arsenate of
2.3 cm in length forms a tight acicular spray upon rich brown limonite matrix of 2.9 x 2.2 cm in overall
size. If you are at all familiar with these pieces then you know that they fall into the investment
category of mineral collecting, a real treasure! In fine condition.

Only a few years ago gem dealers from Nigeria were running around major shows trying to sell cutting
rough from this superb find however it is a different story today as suppliers have disappeared. Out of
all the crystals the biggest problem was alluvial surface wear, not the case here, it has good luster!

Very large books of resplendent muscovite sit connected to form a grouping of 14.3 x 9.4 cm in
overall size. Hard to capture these highly glassy gemmy undamaged topaz crystals of 2.8 x 2.3
cm in maximum size, but the quality is super. For Burma it's unusual to see pieces without quartz
in association and therefore unique for the deposit, also from the historic Mogok area! Note the
big size for the mine too!

Overall Size: 7.5 x 3 cm
Classic color zoned Himalaya of green with strong rich pink! Doubly terminated, nicely striated, and
translucent throughout for an overall size of 7.5 x 3 cm. Countless finds of various colors come from
the well-known mine, but the good medium red is indicative of top material. The small elbaite placed
midpoint adds to the aesthetic balance, nicely crossed up. If you like pegmatite minerals, you will love
this California beauty! It was just released by a private collector who made this select pick during the
productive days of the mine.

Overall Size: 13 x 4.5 cm
Interesting pseudo of what was originally a large epidote crystal but has been replaced by brown
hematite. In addition to needle like quartz growing over the piece making it very distinctive and
recognizable for a pseudomorph. This one of 13 x 4.5 cm in size is fairly priced.

Overall Size: 4.7 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm
Lazurite from Afghanistan has set the standard for the species. This vivid bright blue isolated crystal
of 1.3 cm in length sits perched atop white marble matrix of 4.7 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm in overall size, more
pyrite than usually seen adds to its appeal. Displays well from side angle, doesn't need a base,
choice miniature.

Uncommon looking glassy yellow mimetites up to about 0.7 cm in length sit scattered over a different
type of matrix than normally seen with the mineral, measures 6.2 x 5.4 cm in overall size. Wonderful
distinct coloration making it a must have for the collector, few come up for sale, no damage. At the
moment, I cannot remember the locality if anyone does know it please feel free to email.

Overall Size: 4.5 x 1.5 cm
Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, it is purple tourmaline! It does exist, just in very very limited
supply. This one is deep purple throughout the prisms of 4.5 x 1.5 cm in overall size, no light blue
in the bottom part, that is where the light has diluted the color in a thinner part of the crystal. If you
are a nut for the mineral then be smart and pull the trigger.

Overall Size: 8 x 6.7 cm
Unique tourmaline! This rich deep blue color zoned elbaite of 3 cm in length has been bent by natural
forces with the cracks rehealed forming a silky appearance, only a small percentage of pieces from
worldwide localities show this interesting growth, not to mention indicolite is hardly ever seen with this
curved shape. Several glassy smoky quartz xtls make for a fine small cabinet of 8 x 6.7 cm in overall
size, a true geologic wonder.

Highly glassy striated faces exhibiting elongated growth of 2.3 x 1.3 cm in overall size. Three flat faces
make up the termination, it looks better from the other side, but caught a good photo from this angle.
Excellent gem thumbnail for Tanzania that is worth acquiring!

Here we have a doubly terminated gemmy green elbaite with a super glassy wedge shaped topaz
crystal of 3.2 cm across, wow what a combo! Outside of earlier Brazilian finds nothing has matched
this style in many years, lepidolite matrix measures 5.5 x 3.5 cm in size. It would definitely enrich your
collection.
