A highly attractive well contrasting pink rhodochrosite specimen from this famous American mining
locality. Production ceased long ago with larger pieces like the one pictured here remaining very
much a collector item! The undamaged rhombohedral crystal measures about 2 cm across with solid
white qtz matrix of 11.5 x 10.8 cm in overall size. Extremely fine cabinet sized rhodo that would make
a colorful and pleasing addition.

Recently found extremely glassy sharp reddish-brown zircon crystal of 3 x 1 cm in overall size, larger
than previously discovered material from the country, at least of gem quality. Note the elongated
formation and steep termination, very prismatic. Small chip on side typical as careless miners are
only after cutting rough, upper section is pristine.
