S8829 - Vesuvianite with Hessonite Garnet - $650

Overall Size: 2.6 x 1.2 cm
This vesuvianite has several things going for it; the attached orange garnets are fairly rare adding
greatly to the specimens appeal, but also green crystals happen to be favorable among collectors,
seen here too is the strange color zoning near its termination. All in all we have a splendid thumbnail,
glassy in person without damage.

Very fine transparent yellow epidotes up to 1.3 cm in length sit grouped together to form a full sized
tn of 2.8 x 2 cm. Crystals are usually small from the area however this hue is uncommon which is
more evident in hand, high level of quality.

Exceptional! A large part of the value in this piece is with its crystal orientation. To acquire a
vesuvianite from this well-known alpine cleft isn't difficult if you settle for the typical jumbled xtl growth,
on the other hand sprays are highly unusual, this one showing symmetry good enough to be
considered competition grade in this size range. Perhaps American taste but still not as common
in a pocket, no damage.

Flawless pristine yellow epidote reaching 1.3 cm in length stands upright and well exposed to form
one water clear thumbnail. Crystals are usually small from the area however this hue is uncommon
which is more evident in hand, choice.

Look at that red color! Numerous glassy hessonites partially coat rodingite matrix of 6 x 3.3 cm in
overall size. Few come up for sale with this little bit of extra coloration only seen on some, also
from the renowned Bellecombe locality.

piece for Italy or this collecting area, sparkles when rotated in hand. Damage free as well.

Outstanding for the species! Sharp dodecahedral crystals up to 0.8 cm across sit embedded in
matrix reaching 8.5 x 6.1 cm in overall size to form one notable mineral specimen. Early mining
from here has brought to light a limited supply of these garnets, a rare treat for sure.

One of the most sought after Italian combos. This long slender highly lustrous diopside crystal
measuring 3.2 cm tall sits aside rich orange hessonites, the pale green prism is fairly large for
the price, hard to beat association.

Nicely crystallized composite of minerals. Diopside is both transparent and well defined with the
