S10366 - Calcite - $400 SOLD
Mashamba West Mine, Shaba Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Overall Size: 3.5 x 3.5 cm
When collectors think about the vast range of localities for calcite there are always a small handful of pockets
that come to mind for obvious reasons. The outright stunning rose-pink scalenohedral crystal of 2.5 x 1.7 cm
captures ones attention by simply being uncommon for the species. You can rest assured the visual appeal and
quality are mindblowing. Minerals from here seem to have vanished from the market within the last few years!

S10367 - Fluorite with Chalcopyrite - $600
Denton Mine, Hardin County, Illinois
Overall Size: 12 x 8.5 cm
Cabinet fluorite of saturated rich deep yellowish orange with outer purple phantoms. Well mounted to show
the largest crystal of 3.5 cm across centrally arranged upon other penetrating xls. The showy calcium fluoride
is very sought after, but seen above with unbelievable vivid color. True piece of history that will glow on a
shelf, and the best feature has to be the see through gem cubes. A must see in person.

S10368 - Fluorite with Spessartine - $700 SOLD
Tongbei, Fujian Province, China
Overall Size: 9.5 x 6 cm
One of my all-time favorites. As many of you know spessartine is readily available in dealer's stocks in
spite of meager finds at the moment, on the other hand fluorite accounts for perhaps 3% of production
with varying degrees of luster and saturated purple from the area, such differences are apparent to the
trained eye. One of the more interesting things to come out of China in my humble opinion. Octahedrons
measure 1.5 x 1.4 cm in size. No damage.

S10381 - Beryl (Var. Emerald) with Calcite - $6000
Chivor Mine, Boyaca, Colombia
Overall Size: 5.5 x 4.5 x 3.3 cm
Exceptional intensity of pure green color consistent with the kind used in top grade gemstones! Chivor is
the oldest of the Colombian mines dating to many centuries, fine specimens are still unearthed today.
This upright emerald of 1.1 cm in size may sound small, but its glass-like qualities reach the ultimate
level of excellence for the mineral, perhaps this one must be seen in person. Lively crystals are hard to
obtain especially from the most famous of mines! Opportune chance to get a good emerald, photos
are exact showing the actual color, no damage.

S10370 - Elbaite - $500 SOLD
Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande District, San Diego Co., California
Overall Size: 4.7 x 1.5 cm
Everyone familiar with Himalaya pieces knows the strong rich color zoning in some crystals, this one
coming from the appropriately named Rainbow pocket. The flat pinacoidal termination is absolutely
pristine with amazing coloration and transparency, in part these features have made the mineral
overwhelmingly popular, a good pick for California tourmaline!

S10371 - Azurite with Malachite - $1200
Copper Queen Mine, Bisbee, Arizona
Overall Size: 4 x 3.4 cm
Three photographs that don't convey the depth, so I'll try to persuade the reader with words. The crystal
extends inward from the ridge of azurite about 2 cm which may not sound like much except every side is
equally "floating." Hard to describe, but such clusters are rare from Bisbee. If sculptural pieces appeal
to you then it should intrigue the eye. Other than dimension, its lustrous surface and azure-blue color have
made them highly prized collectibles. Moreover, the historical significance of early mining from over a
century ago is important, and still today these azurites compete with newer material. Worth the price!

S10372 - Apophyllite-(KOH) with Sugilite - $285
Wessels Mine, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Overall Size: 3.3 x 2.5 cm
Examples are difficult to find and as far as I know very little was found. Photos show a striking two species
combo. Definitely not an ordinary white apophyllite-(KOH) which has been incorrectly labeled as barite in
the past. Nearly every crystal measures 1.3 cm across. Very attractive.

S10373 - Zircon - $600 SOLD
Tanga Region, Tanzania
Overall Size: 4 x 1.1 cm
Only a small number of "red" zircons have come from the area in Tanzania, intense red flashes can be
seen under the right light. The outer faces resemble diamonds of only the finest luster upon having both
ends steeply terminated, another rarity. The kink in the side is natural, too. Lastly, its twice the size of
crystals currently being found, 4 x 1.1 cm. Killer gem crystal!

S10374 - Calcite - $1500
Egremont, Cumbria, England
Overall Size: 18 x 12 cm
I cannot recommend this one enough. Huge plates remain highly collectible and rare even in the U.K.. Most
of the better material was found during the late 1800's, so it is safe to say they will always be desirable in the
future. Even if numerous examples come from other worldwide places there is something unique about a fine
English calcite, after all not every locality can be a classic. What I particularly appreciate is the smooth texture
of the crystals, textbook grade A quality. Even in advanced private hands its large size would be considered
a champion of a specimen, so why not park your money in a great buy like countless collectors of the past!

S10375 - Linarite on Quartz - $450
Blanchard Claims, Bingham, New Mexico
Overall Size: 10.5 x 5.5 cm
Most collectors wouldn't give this piece a second look if it were a quartz; however, with abundant
bright electric-blue linarites adhering to nearly every face, now we instantly have a specimen worthy
of mention. Strong color can be a real bonus provided the mineral is uncommon. Spectacular cluster
for display, 10.5 x 5.5 cm in overall size.

S10377 - Calcite with Fluorite - $325
Denton Mine, Hardin County, Illinois
Overall Size: 7.7 x 5.3 cm
Perfect medium orange calcite floater! Well formed on the opposite side. Many of you may prefer matrix
although fully developed crystals are seldom from such a deposit, unusual in the small cabinet size range.
Considerable luster and transparency has been vaguely illustrated in the photo, in spite of this I guarantee
these two xls match the description, truly splendid piece.

S10378 - Hemimorphite with Rosasite - $85 SOLD
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Overall Size: 7.8 x 5 cm
From the new find of rosasite. A lustrous spray of bladed hemimorphite of 2.4 cm wide sits atop an
isolated blue carpet of velvet-like appearance. Few and far between were pieces of the association.
S10379 - Halite - $165 SOLD
Salton Sea, Imperial County, California
Overall Size: 9.3 x 6.6 cm
Don't laugh, I know it's halite. For a California locality specimen this one is pretty good and from a
defunct locale or "new" lake today. Largest cube measures 2.5 x 2.5 cm in size. Choice example
for the U.S. or CA collector.

S10380 - Adamite - $500
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Overall Size: 12 x 6 cm
Lots of sparkling gemmy vibrant yellow crystals line this elongated vug of good proportions. Intact
pockets no matter how small are infrequently seen from the Ojuela mine. As far as minerals go, the
strong color tone in hand is lifelike. For the stated reasons it would make a colorful and pleasing
addition. Features sharp 1.1 cm adamites.
