S10214 - Calcite with Quartz - $825 SOLD
Pachapaqui, Bolognesi Province, Peru
Overall Size: 9.5 x 6.2 cm
A great doubly terminated manganese-rich crystal of 4.3 x 2.7 cm in size projects from what some call
"pineapple" calcites as seen in the highly attractive cluster below the main xl. Different shades of pink of
different morphology have been available from the district, yet it's these uniform pink pieces that exhibit
slightly stronger color than most from Peru, from the specimens I have handled over the years. Each side
has been photographed to illustrate its display qualities.

S10218 - Galena (spinel-law twin) - $400
Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds County, Missouri
Overall Size:4.2 x 2.8 cm
Exceedingly rare spinel-law twin of galena from the famous area! In the images both front and back faces can
be seen in addition to being flat if viewed from the side. It is my understanding that in the late 1990's the Buick
mine produced some twins although dispersed by now. On only a few occasions do we see good Sweetwater
pieces offered, thus rewarding to find one. Comes with old label.

S10220 - Copper with Quartz and Epidote - $450 SOLD
Centennial #2 Mine, Houghton County, Michigan
Overall Size: 9.8 x 8.4 cm
This bright crystallized sheet of native copper swings outward for the perfect backdrop for gemmy colorless
qtz crystals. As with gold specimens any attached quartzes are highly unusual with copper. The medium
green epidote is interesting as well. If you collect elements then it is important to note the rarity of such combos.
Cluster measures 2 x 1.8 cm.

S10222 - Descloizite - $300 SOLD
Berg Aukas Mine, Grootfontein, Namibia
Overall Size: 6.3 x 4.4 cm
Many serious collectors agree that the best descloizites come from here. Chemically similar to vanadinite
these brilliant dagger shaped crystals poke out from alike matrix in a porcupine-like fashion. Much more
depth in person as the images were shoot looking down the terminations. Splendid large miniature.

S10225 - Copper - $950 SOLD
Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan
Overall Size: 4.6 x 3.1 cm
The best Michigan coppers have well defined crystals with smooth brown faces which are two main reasons
the state has become world famous for the mineral, the piece above shows these qualities in a very classy
way. Minor white calcite sits attached in areas for some contrast, overall it measures 4.6 x 3.1 cm in size,
xl is 3.5 cm tall. If an area of interest you cannot go wrong with American copper. Very elegant!

S10161 - Grossular (Var. Hessonite) - SOLD
Bazhenovskoe, Asbest, Ural Mountains, Russia
Overall Size: 9 x 7 cm
Outstanding for a grossular garnet of 2 cm large crystals for the locale! Fairly recent mining from here
has brought to light a limited supply of multifaced, highly glassy, gem clusters rich in cinnamon color.
The abundance of countless faces simultaneously sparkle when rotated in ones hand, for you can
achieve the same effect with showcase lights and marvel at the results. Striking!

S10163 - Nifontovite - SOLD
Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico
Overall Size: 2.5 x 0.7 cm
Outside of a few crystals and massive microcrystalline chunks, these new nifontovites of limited supply are
exceptionally good for the species. Once smart collectors grab the few available pieces they will be a thing
of the past, surely added to future want lists. Nearly invisible gem crystal of 2.5 x 0.7 cm. No damage.

S10167 - Pyromorphite - $275
Friedrichssegen Mine, Bad Ems, Germany
Overall Size: 7.5 x 5.5 cm
Classical European locale sought after by collectors time and again. A piece of history just as important to
mineral collecting today as when found. Typical black and white matrix from here which is offset via root-beer
brown barrel shaped pyros that almost entirely line the vein side of wall rock. Respectable old-timer.

S10165 - Neptunite - $450
Gem Mine, New Idria District, California
Overall Size: 6.2 x 6 cm
The really nice thing about this piece is that very little blue gray schist can be seen which can be harder
to get than one would think if you have ever tried your luck at etching the stuff. If your size range and don't
already have a very good example then what better looking piece could you ask for? The lustrous black
neptunites have an aesthetic elongated habit against snow-white natrolite matrix of 6.2 x 6 cm in size, xl
about 2.5 cm long. Celebrated locality for good reason.
