S9913 - Realgar with Orpiment - $235 SOLD
Palomo Mine, Huancavelica Department, Peru
Overall Size: 4 x 3.1 cm
Visually grabbing fire-red realgar crystals of 1.6 cm long extend outward in a radial fashion, only to be
magnified by stunning bright yellow orpiment is just the icing on the cake! Unlike other localities which
do not offer such striking contrast. Excellent contemporary miniature.

S9914 - Malachite with Azurite - $3400
Burra Burra Mine, South Australia, Australia
Overall Size: 11 x 10 cm
Few reach such caliber from the historic locale, locally known as a "kidney." Personally I think it looks like
a "turtle." Measures 4.5 cm across. I am told these are over 100 years old which makes sense considering
the very old collection from where this superb malachite has been hiding. Normally the hard botryoidal knobs
bind together without distinctive character, contrast, depth and aesthetic shape. An important specimen of
noteworthy size, 11 x 10 cm, and a tall order to find better.

S9923 - Elbaite - SOLD
Stewart Mine, Pala, San Diego Co., California
Overall Size: 3.8 x 2.3 cm
Look at that flaming hot-pink tourmaline! This color made the Stewart material famous among cutters,
it is rare to find well formed crystals with the violet lepidolite indicative of this mine, quite appealing. A
premier U.S. locality for elbaite, measures 3.8 x 2.3 cm in overall size, super miniature!

S9925 - Elbaite with Cleavelandite - $600 SOLD
Little Three Mine, San Diego County, California
Overall Size: 5.8 x 3.5 cm
The Little Three mine is known for producing outstanding orange spessartines, but during the search
for garnets miners sometimes find yellowish green elbaite crystals. This one of 5.8 x 3.5 cm in size is
of the fatter type which is harder to get when compared to slender pencils, also numerous tiny topaz
xls have adhered to the basal termination, it's typically seen in pieces from here. Note both ends are
terminated too which isn't common, no damage.

S9917 - Azurite with Malachite - $525
New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Arizona
Overall Size: 7.8 x 5.2 cm
Some of the best azurites have been mined from the copper state as well as many other species containing
the element, for instance this piece exhibits fine crystillization in parts and green malachite pseudomorphs in
other areas, very classy. If an area of interest you cannot go wrong with this elegant specimen since the
mineral is sought after, safe to assume that it will remain valuable. Rosettes measure 2 cm across.

Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande District, San Diego Co., California

Three piece combo of sharp lustrous white cleavelandite with rich purple books of lepidolite attached
to the pink prism side forming a composite of 4.4 x 4 cm in size, from early mining after the 1970s
reopening of the mine. These crystallized albite blades could be considered matrix or just another
mineral, either way the contrast adds greatly to this miniature. Few are as appealing, in top condition.

S9918 - Calcite - $1600
Idarado Mine, Telluride, Ouray District, Colorado
Overall Size: 21 x 16.5 cm
Wow, what a monster! Look at the length on your ruler! I rarely see huge examples for sale of the pinkest hue,
all lustrous scalenohedrons and plenty of them. Those familiar with American minerals know that spectacular
pieces have never been widespread from the many mines which produced prolific ore over the last century,
for it is only from private and public collections where treasures are now released. While this may seem
obvious opportunity is rare with good rocks.
