S9757 - Elbaite - SOLD
Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Overall Size: 3.7 x 1.2 cm
Strange color zoning near the termination where the etching has stopped creating a unique and wonderful
multicolored scepter, the kind rarely seen from the tourmaline family! These surfaced about 3 years ago,
the better shown here as I saw the entire lot, super miniature!

S9758 - Fluorite - $350 SOLD
Xianghualing Mine, Hunan Province, China
Overall Size: 8 x 6.3 cm
Spectacular sea foam-green group of 6.1 cm across is suitably positioned on matrix. Chinese material
continues to be forthcoming for now at good prices nevertheless initial finds will increase in value, sounds
weird to say with all the minerals pouring out of the country. Photos are exact.

S9759 - Hematite - $375 SOLD
Egremont, Cumbria, England
Overall Size: 11.5 x 9 cm
Classic shiny rich red-brown hematite knobs of automatically noticeable character. While we have all seen
various habits of the mineral it remains in a class by itself, for when collectors think of English minerals these
hematites come to mind. A must have for any suite or worldwide collection, fairly priced as well.

S9760 - Elbaite - $225 SOLD
Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Overall Size: 3.6 x 1.4 cm
Elegant greenish blue saturated rich tone, not to light or to dark, the kind of hue a cutter would pick.
Pristine termination that has glassy see through faces, very important in a gem crystal. I'm sure the
few small veils and wisps saved it from being chopped up, damage free.

S9761 - Barite - $345
Silius, Sardinia, Italy
Overall Size: 5 x 4.5 cm
Pretty orange! Well formed crystals and colorful appeal are two sound reasons to add this Italian classic
to your collection. Very similar to the English barites, only the Sardinian pieces are nearly half the price
for the same impressive barium sulfate. Glassy luster, translucency, fabulous terminations, no damage,
etc...the list could go on forever. No wonder it is valuable with so many attributes. Main prism 3.1 cm.

S9762 - Fluorite - $800 SOLD
Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan Province, China
Overall Size: 12.3 x 10 cm
Yaogangxian is now one of the most famous mines in the world which is easy to see why with gem blue-green
fluorites like these coming up for sale. Here we have an absolutely perfect piece of razor sharp edges and flat
faces that are nearly invisible in person, very much reminiscent of the highly sought after "ice cubes" from
Dal'negorsk, Russia. Enough crystals to show definition without being confusing to the eye, largest measures
2.1 x 2.1 cm square. Pristine would be the right word to sum up this piece.

S9763 - Cerussite with Dioptase - $200 SOLD
Sanda Mine, Mindouli, Republic of the Congo
Overall Size: 2.5 x 1.7 cm
Different yet elegant association. Two gemmy emerald-like dioptases up to 0.8 cm sit partially embedded
on green coated cerussite of 2.5 x 1.7 cm in overall size, pretty thumbnail of the kind rarely seen.

S9764 - Elbaite - $300
Paprok, Kunar Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 3.1 x 2.5 cm
Beautiful bi-color tourmaline of pretty pink near the base grading into almost pure colorless which may
be the super rare variety achroite, probably isn't but close. This killer aesthetic termination is a welcome
addition too, undamaged.

S9765 - Calcite - $375 SOLD
Hengyang Prefecture, Hunan Province, China
Overall Size: 12 x 7.5 cm
This is rare to my knowledge. I saw very few when found, and this is equal if not better than others from the
pocket. Strange phantoms directionally oriented in the trigonal structure of the species allow for intriguing
overall properties. Aside from being an unusual calcite, it has form, gem areas and waxy luster all in all a
great mineral specimen to own. In good condition from every side.

S9766 - Adamite - $365
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Overall Size: 8.2 x 5 cm
Ojuela adamites are on the short list of world class localities for the species. Typically yellow from the mine,
the pink chromophore of manganese mixed within the one here is riveting. However, several qualities
attract collectors to these specimens, for instance super glassy faces of high reflection, well formed
crystals of size, and sometimes very exposed in vugs. Prism reaches 2.1 cm in length without damage.

S9767 - Elbaite with Microcline - $250 SOLD
Aracuai, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Overall Size: 7.3 x 4.5 cm
Matrix tourmaline from Brazil! For the 7.3 x 4.5 cm size plus the yellowish green color, a good price.
The crystal is doubly terminated as well as isolated against sharp whitish microcline showing the
xl outline. Stands upright without a base on a shelf, great for a green elbaite!

S9768 - Elbaite - $325
Mallkhan Mine, Chita District, Russia
Overall Size: 7 x 7 x 3.5 cm
Compared to the newer stuff, this elbaite is from earlier production within the last decade. The core is
yellow/green, as seen from the backside, with the rim being a typical rich deep pink making for a pretty
neat watermelon tourmaline of 7 x 7 x 3.5 cm in overall size. Termination is more angular in hand, would
look good in a case with lights.

S9769 - Elbaite - $175
Pamir Mountains, Tajikistan
Overall Size: 4.1 x 3.5 cm
Little comes from here at least not like neighboring Afghanistan and Pakistan, but a few choice
tourmalines have been found, this piece on matrix as well! Nicely terminated glassy light yellowish
brown crystal of 1.4 cm long sits well in rock in spite of being repaired. Unusual color!

S9771 - Diopside - $125 SOLD
Prabornaz Mine, Aosta Valley, Italy
Overall Size: 8.5 x 4 cm
Interesting var. of diopside known as violan. Considering the scarcity in worldwide deposits, I'd say this
is a rock you cannot do without, just a wonderful violet-purple color in crystalline form for the variety.
