S9513 - Bixbyite on Hematite after Garnet - $375 SOLD
Pismire Wash, Thomas Range, Juab Co., Utah
Overall Size: 2.6 x 2.1 cm
Peculiar assemblage of minerals known from the area but rare to see a prime example today. Microscopic
dull hematite has replaced interconnected garnets (probably spessartine) to form a wonderful floater group
with razor sharp bright bixbyite cubes of 0.5 cm long. Although a thumbnail this one has a lot going for it!

S9518 - Corundum (Var. Sapphire) - $400
Ihosy, Madagascar
Overall Size: 4.7 x 3.4 cm
Highly lustrous well formed rich deep blue to pinkish purple sapphire crystal measuring 1.7 cm tall
upon shiny black schist of 4.7 x 3.4 cm in overall size. Spectacular for the collector who likes
miniatures, difficult to acquire attractive matrix specimens, good value.

S9514 - Fluorite with Calcite and Sphalerite - $285
Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Overall Size: 9.8 x 5.7 cm
Fantastic neon green color within this isolated cube of 3.5 x 2.5 cm in size is truly electrifying against snow-white
calcite coated matrix. A wide range of greens are available from many worldwide fluorite localities, yet the glowing
effect seen here is virtually from Dal'negorsk alone. The only drawback are two chips on the corner edges, with that
said little can compare to the display qualities at this price, beautiful piece!

S9520 - Corundum (Var. Sapphire) - $500
Ihosy, Madagascar
Overall Size: 4.1 x 2.6 cm
Excellent miniature of glassy blue to pinkish purple crystals up to 2.1 cm in length sitting perfectly
upon shiny black matrix. Rarely does color zoning so sharp or intense become noticeable in the
variety of corundum. Sapphires from here are hard to get with top level quality and color. Stunner!

S9515 - Harmotome on Calcite - $175
Strontian, Argyllshire, Scotland
Overall Size: 9.5 x 7.7 cm
At least a thousand lustrous snow-white harmotomes sit aesthetically over select edges of gemmy golden-
orange calcites, not only do you get a presentable specimen for the cabinet but a rare species as well. In all,
these attractive plates of strong contrast are limited in number and remain as one of the premier localities.

S9523 - Corundum (Var. Sapphire) - $400
Ihosy, Madagascar
Overall Size: 3 x 2.7 cm
Splendid crystal of 2.4 cm across with intermixed color zones of blue to pinkish purple that are easy on the
eyes, it's a fantastic full thumbnail/toenail that is best viewed under certain light. Corundums have always
been hard to get with top level quality and color, so take advantage!

S9516 - Ferberite with Calcite - $150 SOLD
Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan Province, China
Overall Size: 4.8 x 3.5 cm
Perfectly stacked flat calcite discs measure 2.4 cm tall next to a very well formed black ferberite of equal
structure from the backside, in fact the other side may appeal to some with its muscovite base. Excellent
association for the two main species, in good condition.

S9517 - Fluorite with Calcite - $275
Cavnic, Maramures, Romania
Overall Size: 6.5 x 4.3 cm
Undamaged fluorite and calcite sit perched upon shiny tan colored matrix which is atypical as both species
rarely grow close enough in the pockets, plus the calcium fluoride is fairly hard to find from here. With
Romania now on the endangered list of mineral deposits it's wise to buy while available. Marvelous combo!

S9519 - Marcasite with Dolomite - $200
Reocin Mine, Cantabria, Spain
Overall Size: 5.5 x 5 cm
Brilliant brassy-yellow cockscombs have grown upon one another as a concentrated group of crystals seen
in the upper right photo, largest marcasite measures 1.7 cm from tip to tip. I should point out that the depth of
this cluster from all angles is super and only exemplified by sharp white dolomites. Size: 5.5 x 5 cm.
S9521 - Sphalerite on Dolomite - $300
Elmwood Mine, Smith County, Tennessee
Overall Size: 7.5 x 5.5 cm
This mine has produced abundant material of three well crystallized minerals including sphalerite and in spite
of being common one must search for a clean looking piece as shown. Internally red sphalerite of 1.7 cm tall
consists of sharp damage free faces of high luster against a blanket of whitish dolomite that greatly outline the
crystal. Classy example for the U.S..

S9522 - Sphalerite with Chalcopyrite and Calcite - $150
Madan District, Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria
Overall Size: 7.7 x 5.5 cm
Several minerals here, but the two siginificant species sphalerite and calcite standout. Difficult to find gemmy
green crystals of note as few worldwide localities produce this color which is amazing considering the volume
of the zinc sulfide. From older production that is now up for sale again.

S9525 - Fluorite with Barite - $135
Berbes Mine, Asturias, Spain
Overall Size: 7 x 4 cm
Choice grouping of light blue modified cubes up to 1.3 cm across sit nicely perched on snow-white blades
of barite. Little contrast in the images to capture crisp photos, regardless I assure you the piece is of gem
quality, flawless in fact! Just released from a well-known private collection, label accompanies the specimen.

S9526 - Sphalerite with Galena and Quartz - $125
Mogila, Madan District, Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria
Overall Size: 6.7 x 4.5 cm
Richly coated matrix of gemmy orange sphalerites blanket over quartz terminations in excellent relief, for this
reason it displays well sideways or upright. Small gray galenas sit intermixed for additional character. Less
material is forthcoming now, in good overall condition.
