Large well defined hematite known as pencil ore is relatively rare from the U.K.. Every side including
the termination and base are in fine condition which is unusual for its age. Another pleasing aspect is
the flat bottom, no support needed, it stands upright no problem. Aesthetically shaped specimens
remain elusive from the initial find in spite of older material surfacing over and over, a classic.
