S8937 - Spodumene (Var. Kunzite) - $3000 SOLD
Mawi, Laghman Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 12.7 x 5.4 cm
|
|
|
|
Afghanistan has produced an astounding number of minerals; however, pegmatite species remain fairly
rare in fine quality, here we have a deeply striated medium purple crystal reaching 12.7 x 5.4 cm in size
that exhibits an angular termination and thick flawless width uncharacteristic of kunzites from the area.
Additionally, intense violet highlights will emit from the spodumene with a light, outright gorgeous! Type
of display piece for the quality collector.

S8933 - Beryl (Var. Aquamarine) with Quartz - $2800 SOLD
Shigar Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan
Overall Size: 11 x 8.7 cm
|
|
|
|
Exceptional combo! Elongated quartz crystal measuring a whopping 11 cm tall stands proud with the most
glassy water-clear aqua blue beryl of 4.2 x 3 cm in size that a person could ever imagine seeing. The razor
sharp edges and hexagonal prism project out of the frontal display face to show its 3 dimensional form on
this very fine aquamarine as well as having the cleavelandite as support. For me a large part of the appeal
is with the association, no damage, very gemmy!

S8943 - Bismuth - $300 SOLD
Rio Guillache, Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Overall Size: 3.5 x 3.5 cm

Fantastic! Nicely shaped nugget of silvery bismuth. The native element has never been widespread from
the many mines which produced prolific amounts of ore over the last century. It is mostly from private and
public collections where treasures are now released for sale, for this one has passed through my hands
many times, a genuine sample.
