S8543 - Quartz (Var. Rose) on Quartz - $3500 SOLD
Mawi, Laghman Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 15.5 x 8.3 cm
How bizarre is this? If you are looking for a unique piece for the collection here it is! A few small and I mean
thumbnail size specimens have this neat circle, but none I have seen even come close to the size of this
strikingly complete oval shaped pretty pink rose quartz on a large colorless quartz of 15.5 x 8.3 cm in overall
size. It's the type of piece that stands out in a case, truly out of the ordinary and will have visitors in awe due
to its display qualities as well as mineralogical interest. Worthy of any top museum or private collection for
the simple fact that variations in quartz specimens of such magnitude are hard to obtain, opportune
chance to acquire a marvelous mineral specimen. No damage.
