Overall Size: 8.3 x 2.7 cm

The pursuit of fine large crystallized silver on matrix has never been easy to find since truly exceptional
specimens are elusive in private collections and on the current mineral market, it is a pleasure to see
such a long crystal of 6.3 cm standing vertically in an artistic twisting-like fashion. The kind of piece
that catches the viewers attention. Batopilas is one of the few major worldwide localities for the native
element that is right up there with the famous mines of Kongsberg. Today, this small cabinet size is very
popular with collectors and easy to see why just by looking at the photos. Silver has been a high
ranking collectible for centuries, so you can safely assume that the one shown with its aesthetic
balance will remain valuable, I guarantee it!

S8042 - Copper - $850
Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan
Overall Size: 10 x 2 cm
|
|
|
Almost 4 inches tall in the upright position, what a great copper to own! This super grouping of elongated
and twinned crystals is very large for its type of growth (branching spinel twins). It shows slight tarnishing,
many people prefer the "antique" look, so I didn't clean the piece. Outstanding specimen for those who can
appreciate a good copper.
