S7287 - Quartz (Var. Amethyst) - $1000
Irai, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Overall Size: 20 x 14.3 cm
Gorgeous Brazilian amethyst flower measuring a whopping 8 inches tall, wow! Just imagine how this circular
bowl shaped cluster would stand out in a mineral room, with some additional backlighting to enhance the lovely
purple color one could work wonders with this piece since it's fairly thin and semitransparent. These days large
display pieces are increasingly difficult to secure of the type. Truly remarkable crystallization for amethyst that
would make an excellent gift.

S7285 - Quartz - SOLD
Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
Overall Size: 11 x 3.2 cm
Here we have an ideal textbook illustration of a perfect scepter quartz, very aesthetic shape as well. The long
slender shaft supports two doubly terminated crystals of 3.6 cm in length. Even though it's one of the
commonest minerals around, examples with such form are fairly rare, undamaged.

S7283 - Rutile inclusions in Quartz - $550
Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil
Overall Size: 6.8 x 3.7 cm
Rutile inclusions in quartz from Brazil have been famous for decades, understandable with both markets
chasing the high quality material for lapidary and collector specimens. The plentiful golden needles frozen
inside transparent quartz are alluring indeed. When rotated in hand one can see bright flashes of light from
the acicular yellow rutiles which greatly highlight the specimen. These inclusions are some of the best in the
world, commonly known as rutilated quartz.

S7289 - Spodumene (Var. Kunzite) - $365
Ibadan, Nigeria
Overall Size: 14.3 x 4.5 cm
A super large kunzite crystal of over 5 inches from the mysterious country of Nigeria! These came out a few
years ago through the gem dealers who dare to go into that dangerous region in search of gems, a limited
supply was found and mostly in smaller sizes. A real gem crystal of transparency and splendid surface
etching. A must have for the gem crystal collector.

S7282 - Quartz - $400
Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
Overall Size: 10.8 x 4.7 cm
To find a double scepter of smoky quartz is exceedingly difficult from any locality! This one is of considerable
size, depth and form making it noteworthy as a qtz variation. The backside is equally defined and free of
damage. Wonderful addition for any collection.

Sparkling iridescent marcasite with blue and yellow flashes radiating from sharp gray calcite. Interesting
smooth second generation crystals have grown on the piece too. Large dominate xl is 10 cm tall, note all
the tips aren't cleaved, totally perfect. Great cabinet sized calcium carbonate.

S7288 - Quartz with Microcline - $125
Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil

S7290 - Calcite after Barite - $275 SOLD
Pachapaqui, Ancash Department, Peru
Overall Size: 9.5 x 8.3 cm
Pleasing opaque light pink crystals up to 4.8 cm across grew in all directions. Once fairly common during
Peru's output of many various minerals, not the case today as specimen production has been slow. What
is fairly uncommon is the type of pseudo as well as damage free.

S7291 - Pyrite - $200 SOLD
N'Chwaning II Mine, Kuruman, South Africa
Overall Size: 14.5 x 10.7 cm
Brassy luster, nicely shaped and well crystallized solid mass of numerous pyrites reaching up to 2 cm across
on a plate measuring 14.5 x 10.7 cm in overall size. Notable for the big size plus its locality and impressive
when viewed upright, in good condition.

S7292 - Wendwilsonite with Calcite - $200
Bou Azzer, Anti Atlas Mountains, Morocco
Overall Size: 7.3 x 4.8 cm
Distinguished grouping of minerals forming a very appealing rarity! I saw many specimens at the Sainte
Marie show, but few with pink calcite. It will be harder and harder to acquire a good one in the future as
pieces are dispersed or lost with time, definitely a good pick.
