S11157 - Elbaite - $3750 SOLD
Morro Redondo Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Overall Size: 4.7 x 1.7 cm
World famous for spectacular tourmalines, Brazilian gem mines have some of the prettiest elbaites ever
found, and Morro Redondo is surely included for its insane color. Many of us are aware of the typical
green and red crystals from countless sources, but orange! Yes, that's right, this prism exhibits an
unforgettable shade of orange, the kind of crystal that one wouldn't have imagined possible. Well, they
do exist, and on top of that the termination is capped by flaming hot pink! Could it get any better?
After listening to my sales pitch I finally must say it is actually richer and quite a few degrees more
vivid in real life. A very rare gem crystal!

Ilfeld, Harz Mountains, Germany
Overall Size: 4 x 2.8 cm
Large splendent black manganite sprays are often not for sale. This monster double term of a hair under
4 cm long is located front and center from its nearby siblings. The other projecting spoke-like crystals are
all completely terminated giving the piece high marks in the aesthetic department for shape. Each one
also has tapering prisms. In all likelihood, when collectors talk about great manganite the celebrated
German locality always comes to mind, for it is a favorite among contemporaries. In good condition.

S11163 - Elbaite with Quartz - $1800 SOLD
Mawi, Laghman Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 6.7 x 6.5 cm
Right away the bicolored bluish-pink crystals look strikingly different, for its rarest feature is an "X", very
uncommon, nor have we seen it before from the area. Two other noticeable traits have to be mentioned;
they are the backside or underside and the color. Firstly, the reverse of this quartz has crystallized flat
faces similar to the front, an entire floater, which is a scarcity in pegmatites around the world, and
secondly, the upper prisms of elbaite show a unique neon blue in person, somewhat pale, yet it still
glows. In all for a display tourmaline, it is off the charts and could be considered a smart pick for the
stated reasons.

S11168 - Spessartine with Muscovite - $365
Nani, Loliondo, Arusha, Tanzania
Overall Size: 3.5 x 2.4 cm
Seen within the last two years, these strongly colored garnets made headline news at the time of discovery.

S11169 - Fluorite with Cassiterite and Quartz - $1400
Sauberg Mine, Ehrenfriedersdorf, Saxony, Germany
Overall Size: 9.2 x 6.5 cm
Highly unusual dark pink instead of purple cubes rest sprinkled upon the typical Ehrenfriedersdorf matrix
of black cassiterite, whitish quartz and muscovite. Such old-time combination specimens reveal
valuable insight into what type of minerals were encountered during early mining in Europe, and in part
made them classic localities today. Not only a piece of important history but an excellent fluorite!
9.2 x 6.5 cm.

high quality buy not to miss of lustrous intense green crystals up to 2.4 x 1.5 cm in the upper portion of

S11173 - Pyrope - $800 SOLD
Winza, Dodoma Region, Tanzania
Overall Size: 4.4 x 3.5 cm
Recently known for dashing rubies and sapphires, this sole pyrope specimen is either the only one
(although hard to believe), or there will be an onslaught of crystals to come. If you are the gambling
type and corundum production ceases then it could be a buy for one of the best. I don't know if more
will come out, but I do know this piece is good. The largest plum garnet is 2 cm across.

as photos illustrate. Spectacular!
