S11643 - Benitoite - $2100
Benitoite Gem Mine, New Idria District, San Benito Co., California
Overall Size: 3 x 2.1 cm
Love the triangular habit of this mineral, so unique in the world of minerals that no other species, similar in
appearance, can even compare to California's state gemstone, making benitoite one of those minerals
everybody wants. Measuring up to a full 2.5 cm on edge with very saturated deep blue color, each crystal
sits aesthetically connected to assure its value of being much better than average. Entirely damage free.

S11644 - Inesite - $625
Hale Creek, Trinity County, California
Overall Size: 7.2 x 5.4 cm
Inesites from California get quite good and this represents the best color in thick crystals diverging from typical
dark brownish black matrix. Found around 1976 as stated on back of accompanying label. Mediocre examples
can be seen for sale here in CA, but the really fine ones rarely become available. No damage.

S11645 - Benitoite with Neptunite - $875 SOLD
Benitoite Gem Mine, New Idria District, San Benito Co., California
Overall Size: 7 x 3.6 cm
Probably because of the uniqueness, value as a gemstone, sole producer, etc., benitoite and neptunite specimens
remain highly desirable today if not ten times several years from now for those of us familiar with the nearly defunct
mine and approximate number of pieces floating around out there. An all in one specimen, meaning these two
illustrious minerals grew in-between white natrolite to represent the deposit. A sound investment, no damage.

S11647 - Inesite with Quartz - $465
Hale Creek, Trinity County, California
Overall Size: 8.5 x 6.8 cm
Very fine spray on an 8.5 x 6.8 cm plate. Inesites from California get quite good and this represents the best
thick crystals diverging from typical dark brownish black rock. Also, notice the doubly terminated white quartz
hanging from the roof of matrix.

S11650 - Benitoite with Natrolite - $3800
Benitoite Gem Mine, New Idria District, San Benito Co., California
Overall Size: 9 x 5 cm
Several marvelous gem quality blue crystals measuring up to 2.1 cm in length sit piled on the upper portion
of snow-white natrolite as all sixteen crystals enrich the piece making it more for the money if not additional
color. Aside from being unique in the mineral kingdom, what I particularly appreciate must be several larger
crystals against contrasting matrix. This nicely shaped plate is quite an eyeful of beauty and a good buy, but
actually most benitoites are worth purchasing!

S11653 - Anhydrite ps. to Quartz - $700
Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, South Region, Brazil
Overall Size: 13.7 x 8.5 cm
Every now and again these strange things pop up for sale, and if you think about it they are actually pretty cool.
Where else does this type of pseudo occur? I'm told the white is mordenite although not entirely sure, so for
now we'll stick with quartz after anhydrite, the known identity. Crystals measure almost 7 cm long in both
close-up photos. As a display specimen this large cluster exhibits incredible 3 dimensional blades
from every angle in person, and I'm not just saying that, it's true!
