S11746 - Barite with Gaudefroyite and Andradite - $750
N'Chwaning II Mine, Kuruman, South Africa
Overall Size: 10 x 4.5 cm
At first glance I thought these frosty white barites were cleaved at one end, but to my amazement they are
completely natural, perhaps separating eons ago and then rehealing or etching took place, either way the
snow-white crystals up to 3.4 cm long sit well on black gaudefroyite matrix, 10 x 4.5 cm.

S11748 - Azurite with Arsentsumebite - $16800
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
Overall Size: 9.8 x 6.2 cm
Talk about a pretty rock! A beautifully crystallized pocket! The type of MAGNIFICENT association that has made
Tsumeb azurites famous. You would have to be color-blind not to be able to see these bright colors! This piece
has so many things going for it, like the brilliant and intense royal-blue cluster centered on a bed of unbelievably
rich arsentsumebite, in this way you get maximum lime-green contrast from all sides, which isn't so easy to find
on a matrix specimen of this size, just short of 10 cm. AND as elegant as some azurite and malachite specimens
are, they don't approach the neon glow of this combo seen here, for these photos are dead on. Marvelous display
impact even if the azurite were by itself it would still be significant. Every single azurite has the highest quality
available, absolutely perfect crystals of top luster without any damage whatsoever. Finds, such as these, were
only available for a brief period of time, so when truly fine pieces turn up it is exhilarating to see them again.

S11750 - Dolomite after Calcite - $1150
Cavnic, Maramures County, Romania
Overall Size: 13 x 8.5 cm
Highly interesting hollow pseudomorphs of dolomite after calcite occur at the Cavnic site for several years now
until its recent closing. These glistening scalenohedral points to 4.5 cm in length would certainly qualify as
first-rate from here. More than likely, due to the peach pink coloration, all accompanying labels state
rhodochrosite as the replacement mineral; however, this is questionable. What is a fact is this cabinet plate
has exceptional definition for this type of perimorph pseudo. 13 x 8.5 cm in size.

S11752 - Augite - $375
Tormiq, Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan
Overall Size: 5.4 x 3.8 cm
Great form evident from both front and back photos, this sharp complete all around augite var. fassaite as it
has sometimes been called in the past reminds me of stealth fighter. Very nice piece!

S11753 - Smithsonite - $1050 SOLD
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
Overall Size: 8.5 x 6.4 cm
At Tsumeb, spectacular pink smithsonites occur in a wide range of colors, such as these large rhombs measuring
1.8 cm across of unusual burnt pink tone, the perfect type of "oddball" smithsonite to round out that suite. Nicer
material now trickles into the market from existing collections where this one remained hidden from public view
after the initial sale through us.

S11754 - Azurite with Quartz - $325
Sierra Rica, Chihuahua, Mexico
Overall Size: 9.3 x 7 cm
Fine plate measuring 9.3 x 7 cm of characteristic telltale pale blue to nearly white quartz coated matrix upon
which 1.2 cm bundled clusters sit. Considering they are kind of rare, not horribly so, but enough to make
it worth buying and especially at this price.

S11755 - Smithsonite - $450
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
Overall Size: 3 x 2.7 cm
Sharp gemmy light pink scalenohedral crystal sits atop shiny adhering galena matrix, and of good size I
might add, 2.7 cm to be exact! Not bad hey? The color is a little on the pale side as shown, but the
xl size and transparency more than make up for any loss elsewhere. Excellent full thumb!

S11756 - Uvite with Magnesite - $400
Brumado Mine, Bahia, Brazil
Overall Size: 2.9 x 2.7 cm
Great cluster of translucent to transparent fire-green uvites and sharp colorless magnesites attractively placed
in-between comprise this slick looking thumbnail. Super-luster in person.
S11757 - Barite - $175
Rosh Pinah Mine, Karas Region, Namibia
Overall Size: 3.3 x 2.5 cm
A locality barite that has a vivid orange center grading into strong yellow near its outer edges. The
layered growth shines nicely on specimens from here making for a cute small miniature.
S11758 - Cerussite with Dioptase - $365
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
Overall Size: 4 x 3 cm
Isolated gemmy colorless cerussites reaching about 1 cm in length sit mixed with bright green dioptase. The
emerald look-alike is the signature mineral from the mine and owes its celebrated fame in large part
to brilliancy, color and gem quality so many of us value in mineral specimens. Always a good pick.
S11759 - Mimetite pseudomorph cast after Cerussite - $550
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
Overall Size: 7.4 x 4.7 cm
If you take a close look at this piece you will see the faint outline where orangey yellow mimetites covered a
sixling of cerussite, it is kind of hard to see, but in person the remaining cast is well defined from each side.
Cerussites from this particular pocket were deeply etched, so it is no surprise to only see remanents. Great
for the Tsumeb specialist.

Seen here is grass-green clusters gravitating together into excellent coverage on an iron-stained quartz plate
from the world renowned Les Farges mine in France. Pyromorphite, known for having deeply saturated color,
remains a favorite among collectors, and this lush ripe garden of crystals is the standard by which to compare,
completely devoid of the typical brown at this location. A colorful display piece measuring 11.3 x 7.2 cm.
