S12085 - Clinozoisite - $1280
Tormiq Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan
Overall Size: 6.7 x 4.2 cm
One of the most delightful surprises of the last few years has been the change in identity from epidote to clinozoisite
from this alpine-type cleft deposit. They have a high degree of luster and strong pleochroism that can be seen in
transmitted light, switching from pistachio green to a pleasing shade of brown. Likewise, these form into herringbone
aggregates similar to the legendary Knappenwand pieces, a classic trademark from one of the most well-known
mineral occurrences in Europe, and NOW from Pakistan. Spectacular!

S12086 - Elbaite - $600
Alto Ligonha, Zambezia Province, Mozambique
Overall Size: 3.2 x 2.3 cm
Just when you thought all hope was lost for obtaining a rare crystal of African tourmaline - up pops this stunning
small miniature! The dark pink to medium red hasn't come to light in decades. As usual from here, elbaites suffer
from some degree of chatter, especially the sought after reds.

S12087 - Clinozoisite - SOLD
Tormiq Valley, Northern Areas, Pakistan
Overall Size: 7.5 x 1.8 cm
Excellent pleochroism that can be seen in transmitted light, switching from pistachio green to a pleasing shade
of brown. No matrix but a very well defined subparallel group of gem crystals. Chiseled terminations,
doubly terminated prisms and exceptional transparency create what I think is a splendid clinozoisite measuring
exactly 3 inches wide.

San Pedro Corralitos, Chihuahua, Mexico
Overall Size: 6 x 2.9 cm
Universally botryoidal mimetite balls of microscopic crystal points make up the satin luster on these bubbling
specimens from the 1968 San Pedro Corralitos find. VERY handsome small cabinet of the nicest available
aerial growth is pictured above, for one it explodes from all sides in unimaginable relief and for another this
style is considered to be the best of its type from here. In all quite stunning individualized spheres of
MATCHLESS worldwide caliber!

S12090 - Malachite - $1100
Kasompi Mine, Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Overall Size: 12.3 x 8.3 cm
Considered to be one of the best finds of chatoyant malachite ever found, these green beauties exhibit properties
similar to cat's eye gemstones, immediately grabbing spectators attention with even the slightest movement
of hand. This silky appearance closely resembles a fine set of rotating hairs which could be construed as one of
the ultimate optical phenomenons in the mineral kingdom. Often chatoyancy is only visible from the broken side
of specimens instead of what we have here - well arranged sprays swirling around a two-tone matrix. Very
IMPRESSIVE pocket with more shine to the crystals in person, damage free.

S12092 - Malachite - $2000
Kasompi Mine, Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Overall Size: 12.5 x 10 cm
This satin appearance closely resembles a fine set of rotating hairs which could be construed as one of the ultimate
optical phenomenons in the mineral kingdom. Often chatoyancy is only visible from the broken side of specimens
instead of what we have here - well arranged sprays swirling around a large bowed plate. Richly filled matrix of
teardrop sprays exhibit properties similar to cat's eye gemstones although somewhat absent in the images every
crystal does have bright silky sheen to it. GREAT for display, no damage, 12.5 x 10 cm.

S12093 - Elbaite with Quartz - $850
Paprok, Kunar Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 6.2 x 3.3 cm
WOW, conditions had to be just right for this one to form! A freak piece! Four distinctive color zones can be found
in this doubly terminated pencil, ranging anywhere from Popsicle green to rose pink. Think of how many "regular
tourmaline" singles came from this peg in recent years and then try to remember the few complete and well formed
quartzes perched on top of elbaite or vice versa! It displays well either way. Excellent two part gem crystal.

S12094 - Cerussite - $400
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
Overall Size: 3.5 x 2.6 cm
Exceptional clarity rimmed by sharp beveled edges and top luster help create some of the main key features
of cerussite. Water-clear crystals tend to be rarer in private hands, I suspect, because of the commonly seen
translucent and not transparent sixling twins were found in moderate abundance, different than pockets of
crystal clear transparency where they came few and far between at Tsumeb. Superfine miniature.

S12095 - Malachite - $100
Star of the Congo Mine, Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo

S12096 - Elbaite with Quartz - $2500
Paprok, Kunar Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 7.5 x 4.6 cm
Beautiful watermelon colored pink and green doubly terminated prism extends nearly 6 cm long atop sharp
quartz, such colorful and elevated crystals really do bring out the potential in tourmaline, and this precarious
type of awesome balancing act only magnifies all display properties. A good pick for the lover of elbaite.
Not repaired.

S12097 - Elbaite with Quartz - $1250
Paprok, Kunar Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 5.5 x 3.2 cm
Reminiscent of Elba elbaite, black capped crystals from this find 3 years ago have striking similarity to some of
the famous Italian "Moor's Head" tourmalines associated with the small island. Flawless, steeply terminated,
tricolored prismatic crystal of 2.4 cm long shoots out of solid crystallized quartz. Very aesthetic piece!

S12098 - Elbaite with Albite - $1750
Paprok, Kunar Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 4 x 3.4 cm
WAY better than the photos! Even though pastel this pristine duo is aesthetically stuck to pegmatite matrix and
is about as good as it gets from Paprok in this size range. Afghanistan & Pakistan have been leading producers
of fine mineral specimens for the last two or possibly three decades, and in this modern age of skillful miners
collecting damage free specimens on matrix, we (the mineral community) should appreciate and take FULL
advantage of the fruits of their labor. No damage, a must see in person!

S12099 - Elbaite - $1350
Paprok, Kunar Province, Afghanistan
Overall Size: 6 x 2 cm
Another pretty colorful tourmaline with several awing shades of pink, blue and green. Gemmy vertically striated
prismatic single pierces right through lavender books of trilithionite (formerly lepidolite) in a way few do,
propping the gem elbaite from every angle, the perfect base. Have you ever wanted the right Paprok elbaite
without paying too much? then this is the piece!
