S13040 - Magnetite - $2000 SOLD
ZCA Mine, Balmat, St Lawrence Co., New York
Overall Size: 7 x 4.4 cm
Balmat material is beautifully crystallized! In worldwide magnetite deposits usually the octahedral habit prevails, very
different than bright morphologically unique crystals which dominate in droves at this mine. Although a little hard to
make out in the photos, the largest 2.8 cm tetrahexahedral crystal shows asymmetrical development with only minor
cube faces. Smaller cubes of elongation too. Outside of awing morphology in various forms from here, it is rare to
find high quality crystals of any real size and in aesthetically shapen groups on U.S. soil. In good condition.

S13041 - Vanadinite - $585 SOLD
ACF Mine, Mibladene, Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
Overall Size: 3.6 x 2.4 cm
JUICY bright semitransparent crystals combust from matrix! Each highly glassy hexagonal vanadinite strongly resembles
many pyromorphites in nearly every way except color. If memory serves correct no new material as good as or in such
sheer volume has surfaced since the history changing find of 2002, for those who were at the Sainte Marie show that
year, you probably only remember one thing - RED! This cluster is from that magnificent discovery.

S13042 - Benitoite with Neptunite - $4200 SOLD
Benitoite Gem Mine, New Idria District, San Benito Co., California
Overall Size: 10.7 x 6.6 cm
The mine is now on the verge of extinction. This cluster of beauties is sporting a 1.5 cm sapphire-blue triangle of
legendary bright blue.Triply terminated crystals have always been head and shoulders above almost all others in terms
of rarity, for some reason crystals are only rarely found free of enclosing white natrolite, speaking of natrolite, check out
how much of it there is! For once someone did a good job etching the stuff and I must admit with such a strong dose
of contrast, it does add to the desirability factor and future investment potential of the specimen. No damage.

S13050 - Vanadinite - $315
ACF Mine, Mibladene, Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
Overall Size: 2.5 x 1.7 cm
Delicious thumbnail! Each mirror-bright hexagonal vanadinite closely imitates many pyromorphites in nearly every
way except color. If memory serves correct no new material as good as or in such sheer volume has surfaced since
the history changing find of 2002, for those who were at the Sainte Marie show that year, you probably only
remember one thing - RED!

S13053 - Adamite - $2300 SOLD
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Overall Size: 5 x 2.4 cm
Outstanding group from one of Mexico's most beloved mines and noted localities for adamite. Color varies widely in
crystals from here, with well-known shades of purple and yellow "common" in collections and beige comparatively rare.
However, these two inch damage free monsters are the real main desirable trait, for they pretty much do not exist in
larger sizes with sharply individualized form. Its provenance can be traced back to the California Academy of Sciences
where at some point the specimen transferred to longtime San Francisco collector Jack Halpern. No damage.

S13054 - Dioptase with Calcite - $700
Altyn-Tyube Deposit, Karagandy Province, Kazakhstan
Overall Size: 4.6 x 2.7 cm
Lustrous intense double term to 1.7 cm sticks directly out of richly coated calcite matrix acting as the perfect backdrop
for this better than average miniature, I emphasize that last part. As a combined species we rarely see this GOOD from
this LOCALITY. Typically too much green coverage to make out individual crystal form. It will glow in your case! In
pristine condition.

S13056 - Quartz with Axinite-(Fe) - $375
New Melones Dam, Copperopolis, Calaveras Co., California
Overall Size: 5.6 x 3.8 cm
This is a very aesthetic, very water-clear quartz crystal from the famous New Melones dam spillway, in that it is nicely
mounted on purplish axinite-(Fe) matrix and can be viewed well from either side. Main prism measures 3.5 x 1.8 cm
and is 100% damage free along with other nearby crystals.

S13057 - Cinnabar inclusions in Quartz - $325 SOLD
New Idria District, San Benito Co., California
Overall Size: 5.5 x 4.7 cm
The mining town of New Idria, now an abandoned ghost town, was named in honor of famous mines at Idria, Slovenia.
Important as a California Historical Landmark and producer of excellent cinnabar where only rarely do these matrix
quartz inclusions riddled with thousands of tiny red specks appear.

S13060 - Actinolite inclusions in Quartz with Axinite-(Fe) - $365
New Melones Dam, Copperopolis, Calaveras Co., California
Overall Size: 4.7 x 3.4 cm
A superb, for the area, transparent quartz crystal with inclusions of acicular bright green actinolite, found only sparingly
at this locality. The matrix upon which it sits is coated with lime-green epidote and purplish axinite-(Fe) to form a
lovely texturized miniature. The crystal of 2 cm long is without damage.

S13062 - Cinnabar inclusions in Quartz - $280 SOLD
New Idria District, San Benito Co., California
Overall Size: 4.7 x 4.6 cm
Important as a California Historical Landmark and producer of excellent cinnabar, the mining town of New Idria, now
an abandoned ghost town, was named in honor of famous mines at Idria, Slovenia. Every qtz face sparkles nicely
on this matrix piece riddled with thousands of tiny red inclusions in quartz, attractive association.

S13063 - Quartz with Clay inclusions - $175
Kharan, Balochistan, Pakistan
Overall Size: 6 x 2.7 cm
Inclusions of the like mostly come from Brazilian mines and not Pakistan. This one is particularly attractive, not
only for its hard to attain milky orange color, but for the way the clay has disseminated throughout its inner walls,
completely filling an otherwise colorless quartz. Minor contact at top, trivial in this case since the focal point
zeros in on highly unique clay.

S13064 - Cinnabar inclusions in Quartz - $225 SOLD
New Idria District, San Benito Co., California
Overall Size: 4.5 x 2.5 cm
The mining town of New Idria, now an abandoned ghost town, was named in honor of famous mines at Idria, Slovenia
Important as a California Historical Landmark and producer of excellent cinnabar. Striking colorful miniature!

S13065 - Quartz (Var. Smoky Quartz) - $400 SOLD
Georgetown District, El Dorado Co., California
Overall Size: 4.8 x 3.5 cm
Pristine would be an understatement! Fine smoky quartz crystals are NOT well-known from California, and this extra
smooth group of such unthinkable crystal clear quality for the state has to rank among some of the finest ever found
here, brought to light early in the year, this is far and away the best miniature group. No damage.

S13066 - Rutile and Hematite inclusions in Quartz - $300 SOLD
Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
Overall Size: 3.6 x 2 cm
Highly visible inclusions of long needles of reddish brown rutile and specular black hematite lie just beneath high
grade quartz, some of which exit the crystal to glow even brighter red and greatly intensify the piece. It's one
of the nicest mineral groups enclosed within a mass, for the size, we have seen.
