S12064 - Fluorite with Quartz - $700
Denton Mine, Hardin County, Illinois
Overall Size: 7.2 x 5.7 cm
VERY showy! Unique telltale characteristics occur at the famous fluorspar deposits of southern Illinois. This piece
consists of gorgeous amber yellow cores grading sharply into bluish purple phantoms of strong to faint zoning
down select corners, which adds to its wonder when rotated in hand. Another commonly seen trait is that of etched
crystals where the cubic shape has been drastically altered into a zigzag appearance from the side connected to
the pocket. Here is but a few of the multitude of features that sets these apart from other fluorite localities.

S12065 - Cuprite - $800
Red Dome Mine, Chillagoe, Queensland, Australia
Overall Size: 3.2 x 3.2 cm
At times obscure out-of-the-way localities produce some of the finest specimens of the species ever discovered,
that is what happened about eight years ago when collectors were in disbelief at the large and blood-red cuprites
coming out of Australia. The internal red saturation is equivalent to any one of the famed proustites we all lust
after, and to be accurate and not overdone I didn't even add backlighting to the piece. A MUST see!

S12066 - Copper - $650 SOLD
Selwyn Mine, near Towsville, Queensland, Australia
Overall Size: 4.9 x 1.7 cm
Beautifully crystallized spinel-law twin blade. While the morphology of such spear-shaped twins represent some
of the most splendid native coppers known the thin skin of iridescent red to orange rust-colored patina greatly
enhances the piece. Plus the crystal isn't delicate like many branching groups. Excellent locale too.

S12072 - Spessartine with Galena - $650
North Mine, Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia
Overall Size: 8 x 6.5 cm
World-famous for gemmy rhodonites, the Broken Hill mine also has exceptional spessartine garnets in galena.
Quite often the reddish crystals populate matrix to an average size of about 2 cm or less whereas this 3.5 x
3.5 cm golf ball-sized crystal is just plain JUMBO in size. Check out my hand for scale, the width alone
expands nearly three fingers! If that weren't enough it is priced to sell. No damage.

S12073 - Topaz on Microcline (Var. Amazonite) - $1200 SOLD
Zapot Mine, Mineral County, Nevada
Overall Size: 6.3 x 4.6 cm
Nevada, not known for topaz, has only one isolated pegmatite for excellent gem crystals and that is Zapot, which
is Topaz spelled backwards and how the mine received its name for those who didn't know. The vast majority
of crystals were found as loose singles sheared naturally from surrounding wall rock. The washed-out greenish
blue amazonite is a good indicator to accurately pinpoint this mine since few known examples exist. Xl measures
2.8 cm and has the absolute best transparency in person. Superb for locality!

S12074 - Opal - $1500
Quilpie, Queensland, Australia
Overall Size: 9.2 x 5.2 cm
ELECTRIFYING, the play of colors and well polished surface brings out intense shifting flashes of blue, green,
purple, red, pink and even white from beneath its translucent face. In all the "fire" is captivating and resembles
a far away galaxy. Australia has been known to produce excellent precious opal, and this boulder opal is no
exception. An absolutely jaw-dropping piece of lapidary rough!

S12076 - Metatorbernite - $675
Musonoi Mine, Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Overall Size: 10.5 x 7.2 cm
Musonoi is the mine for metatorbernite! Like lush grass these tabular square mica-like crystals have sprouted
over matrix of 10.5 x 7.2 cm in overall size. 4 inches of display impact. This vivid coloration goes a long way in
the case, literally glowing under any light relative to other minerals. For the species, few localities match this flow
of bright emerald-green color.

S12077 - Descloizite - $175 SOLD
Berg Aukas, Grootfontein, Namibia
Overall Size: 4 x 2.7 cm
Easily the finest material came from early mining in the Grootfontein area in magnificent large dark brown crystals.
Shimmering luster, shape, size and overall form make these great mineral specimens. In good condition.

S12078 - Mimetite - $1750
Mount Bonnie Mine, Northern Territory, Australia
Overall Size: 5 x 3.3 cm
Mount Bonnie specimens show a wide range of colors and habits. The common type is that of creamy yellow
crystals in tabular form often frosted in appearance due to the development of a multitude of minute faces across
their surfaces whereas the much harder to find mimetites to nearly 1 cm as shown consist of lustrous gemmy
lemon-gray flattish prisms - the better quality by far! These easily recognizable clusters remain highly desirable
in the international mineral market, a comparatively great source for the species.

S12079 - Parisite-(Ce) - $600
Mt. Malosa, Zomba District, Malawi
Overall Size: 6.5 x 2.8 cm
The rare earth element bearing mineral parisite-(Ce) rarely reaches such length. Known sources for crystals always
form as horizontally striated tapering crystals of brownish orange color, but on only a few occasions do they measure
6.5 x 2.8 cm! Such contemporary beasts make us re-examine all other contenders. In good condition.

S12080 - Pyromorphite - $125
Black Star Open Cut, Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia
Overall Size: 5.8 x 2.3 cm
A notable occurrence from the extensive continent down under - Australia! Slightly barrel-shaped yellowish
orange pyromorphites up to 0.7 cm tall sit scattered over rich brown limonite matrix. A good deal since
some obvious contacts are present.

S12081 - Azurite - $150
Areyonga, Northern Territory, Australia
Overall Size: 5.7 x 5.5 cm
These strange discs make for fascinating display specimens. Nearly circular and filled with interesting texture, such
rich blue azurites are highly unique on earth and continue to be collected for just that reason! A protruding matrix
made up of smooth siltstone is out of view.

S12082 - Gaspeite - $265
Widgiemooltha, Western Australia, Australia
Overall Size: 8 x 6.2 cm
Species collectors take note. Although commercially mined as a lapidary material at Widgiemooltha gaspeite
is in fact a very rare mineral in crystalline form. This glowing green carbonate is made up of nickel, magnesium
and iron put together as botryoidal crusts over shallow indentations, 8 x 6.2 cm.

S12083 - Azurite - $165
Areyonga, Northern Territory, Australia
Overall Size: 6.3 x 5.8 cm
Perfectly circular with sandy texture, such rich blue azurites are highly unique on earth and continue to be collected
for just that reason! A protruding matrix made up of smooth siltstone is nearly out of view. Intriguing!

S12084 - Azurite - $125 SOLD
Areyonga, Northern Territory, Australia
Overall Size: 5.6 x 5.3 cm
This strange bright blue flat disc makes for a fascinating display specimen. Very circular with wavy texture,
such rich blue azurites are highly unique on earth and continue to be collected for just that reason!
