S12557 - Sphalerite - $275
Walworth Quarry, Walworth, Wayne Co., New York
Overall Size: 2.7 x 1.5 cm
These were always a rarity from here, generally small crystals in association with white dolomite and not floaters
entirely free of contacts. This 360 degree damage free cluster is an exceptional thumbnail for the locality.
On its own, it is a gemmy warm maroon color in person!

S12558 - Gold - $450
Eagle's Nest Mine, Michigan Bluff District, Placer Co., California
Overall Size: 1.7 x 1.6 cm
Aesthetically tangled group of VERY well crystallized gold measuring a mere 1.7 cm, I admit, but what an exquisite
thumb of incredibly reflective and high quality faces from the Eagle's Nest mine, full of visual impact in
person. One of four major specimen producing gold mines in California. Splendid!

S12560 - Hubnerite with Quartz - $550 SOLD
Huayllapon Mine, Pasto Bueno District, Pallasca Province, Peru
Overall Size: 2.9 x 1.7 cm
The diamond shape and orientation speaks volumes about what kind of thumbnail we have here. First off, it is
uncommon to see really thick blocky crystals from Peru and secondly it is very rare to find one of the geometrically
arranged type upon well terminated sparkling quartz. Much sharper and lustrous in person with only
a single contact on back edge, otherwise perfect.

S12561 - Pyromorphite - $475
Bunker Hill Mine, Kellogg, Shoshone Co., Idaho
Overall Size: 2.7 x 2.1 cm
Some of the richest shades of orange can be found at the well-known North American pyromorphite locality,
unfortunately not all have the right color to match this gorgeous piece. Each damage-free crystal is complimented
by shimmering luster and high quality. Juicy!
S12562 - Spinel - $150
Parker Mine, Notre Dame du Laus, Quebec, Canada
Overall Size: 3 x 2.5 cm
Two simple octahedrons, one modified by trapezohedral faces measures 1.8 cm in length and clings well to matrix
covering the rear. Out of the numerous worldwide spinel deposits, it is astonishing how few yield good black
crystals. In fine condition.

S12563 - Pyromorphite - $650 SOLD
Bunker Hill Mine, Kellogg, Shoshone Co., Idaho
Overall Size: 3 x 2.2 cm
Rich with color! This lovely ripe orange spray certainly packs a strong punch for a large thumbnail, and with the
aid of showcase lights it will be highly impressive! Even for a mineral known for color these babies are quite
eye-catching. Pyros reach 2 cm long.

S12564 - Ilvaite - $325 SOLD
1st Sovietskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Overall Size: 3.3 x 1.8 cm
A modern classic, ilvaites from here occur as very dark black prismatic crystals with some of the brightest luster,
and from the collector's viewpoint they are looked upon as the finest to near finest known. This one goes a step
further though, it has two damage free doubly terminated crystals crossing one another, which is unusual for
the silicate. Very pristine!

S12567 - Adamite - $200
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Overall Size: 2.9 x 2.5 cm
Attractive yellow "pinwheel" radiating from a tiny bit of limonite matrix is typical of this once abundant mineral from
here, yet oddly enough showy adamites remain in short supply from other localities even after centuries of mining.
S12570 - Whiteite-(CaFeMg) with Lazulite - $475 SOLD
Rapid Creek, Dawson Mining District, Yukon Territory, Canada
Overall Size: 2.4 x 1.8 cm
Whiteite-(CaFeMg), perfect illustration of what is normally a very bland phosphate by itself to the collector of aesthetics,
but has been jazzed up by rich blue lazulite giving the piece that extra push to be considered exceptional in this size
range. The aesthetic placement is also exceptional at least to my eye and I would easily consider it competition
level. No damage.

S12571 - Stephanite ps. to Argentite - $600
Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico
Overall Size: 2.5 x 1.8 cm
Typically seen in minerals containing silver without matrix from Mexico is the apparent point of no attachment, such
is the case in this twinned hexagonal prism of stephanite pseudomorphing to argentite, the dimorph of acanthite.
Excellent specimen from this world-famous locality.
S12572 - Adamite - $125
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Overall Size: 2.2 x 2 cm
Ranging from creamy white to beige to root beer brown, this style of adamite was by far less common than
crystallized fans of greenish yellow. Wonderful glassy faces, stout form and slightly transparent properties add
to this thumbs appeal.

S12578 - Tetrahedrite with Pyrite - $165
Daly-Judge Mine, Park City District, Summit Co., Utah
Overall Size: 2.4 x 1.8 cm
Available for only a brief period of time in the early 1990s if I recall, this pocket had a few highly exposed
tetrahedrites barely hanging on to pyrite. Very 3 dimensional and one heck of a thumb for America.
Shiny, bright and sharp in real life.

Chessy, Lyons, France
Overall Size: 1.5 x 1.2 cm
Not octahedral but dodecahedral form, the much rarer type of historically important cuprite, the kind we can bet
passed through many individuals over the last 150 years. Complete all around with no dings.
S12585 - Fluorite - SOLD
Heights Mine, Westgate, Weardale, Co. Durham, England
