S10640 - Manganite - $600 SOLD
Ilfeld, Harz Mountains, Germany
Overall Size: 3 x 2.1 cm
If collecting such things Ilfeld manganites are one of the classic minerals a collection should have, and why
on earth wouldn't you want a good one? Often grouped in massive bundles or as jumbled crystallization
it is unusual to see a perfect spray and nearly impossible to find in larger sizes. Not easy to come by and
a killer to boot! In fine condition.

S10641 - Gaudefroyite with Andradite - $2300
N'Chwaning II Mine, Kuruman, South Africa
Overall Size: 11.4 x 6.5 cm
For a cast type mineral, these are very attractive! Its inner coating of tiny blood-red andradite garnets rimmed
by opaque black gaudefroyites immediately tell its origin, for there is no place on planet earth where similar
associations have been found, truly unique. Some say the original crystal is rhodochrosite, sounds sexy, but is
unlikely and unheard of in such large xls from the Kalahari manganese field. A good guess would be calcite.
In all this large sparkling colorful epimorph displays well given its complexity. A rarity from Africa.

S10643 - Barite with Calcite - $1380
Elk Creek, Meade County, South Dakota
Overall Size: 6.7 x 5.3 cm
Two reasons I zoomed in on this barite, first it has no major cracks, and second the luster is superb for a
sulfate which tend to show frosted exteriors. Its lack of opacity allows light to easily pass through the entire
prism. This is the only piece I picked from the lot, so you can imagine how pristine it is. Golden calcites
add strong contrast instead of typical pale yellow to almost faint green coatings from the area. No damage
at all, measures 6.7 x 5.3 cm in overall size.

S10645 - Chondrodite with Magnetite - $3000
Palabora Open Pit, Phalaborwa, Transvaal, South Africa
Overall Size: 5.5 x 4 cm
As the label states "one of the finest chondrodites from Palabora," for it is without question very fine, but how
do we compare what is never and I mean never for sale! My own intuition is that the bright magnetites as
an accessory mineral give it that extra boost. You can buy a plain one from recent finds, or snatch this
classy piece up and have (as the photos show) a killer high-end rarity. Out of the few people who have seen
it, all agree it is extraordinary. Main xl is 1 cm of fire-red transparency.

S10673 - Copper - SOLD
Chino Mine, Bayard, New Mexico
Overall Size: 9.5 x 2.6 cm
Almost 4 inches tall in the upright position. What a great copper to own! This elongated twin resembles a stem
and flower of slightly tarnished rich brown "antique" look. An aesthetic vertical cluster from a lesser known but
still respectable New Mexico locality, the Chino Mine at Bayard. Outstanding specimen for the U.S.

S10675 - Copper - $475
Ojibway Mine, Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan
Overall Size: 5.7 x 5 cm
Ever seen a branching wire with several dodecs of 1 cm perched on top? Wow! It is very rare to see such
a thing in copper as well as other native elements of similar morphology. An outright hands down steal for
this full sized miniature, the hidden treasure on the page. Size is 5.7 x 5 cm.
S10677 - Copper - $600 SOLD
Cliff Mine, Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan
Overall Size: 7.4 x 2.5 cm
Highly developed and intricate crystals forming arborescent growth of tree-like appearance. This arrangement
alone makes it worth purchasing! The majority of coppers are coarse by nature without any structure, basically
heavy and chunky, but this is an extra special piece. Either side in the close-ups show its sharp crystallization.

S10653 - Azurite and Malachite after Selenite - $585 SOLD
Apex Mine, St. George, Utah
Overall Size: 5.6 x 1.2 cm
Very unique for several reasons. As we know average malachite after azurite pseudomorphs aren't super
rare while any species replacing crystallized gypsum/selenite is almost unheard-of by even seasoned
veterans and desirable on that account. It also is hollow inside which is certainly peculiar for a pseudo
along with radiating green spots. All in all a classic American treasure.

S10654 - Ettringite - $650 SOLD
N'Chwaning II Mine, Kuruman, South Africa
Overall Size: 3 x 1.6 cm
Absolutely electrifying crystal! Greatly enhanced by blinding yellow saturation as few species pour with such
color. Hardly visible is the mirrorlike luster of smooth high-grade quality. Sometimes terminations show bruised
corners; however, this one is entirely pristine. Truly out of the ordinary thumbnail, i.e. if you love gem crystals.
A little smoker, I guarantee it!

S10656 - Azurite and Malachite after Selenite - $525 SOLD
Apex Mine, St. George, Utah
Overall Size: 4.4 x 1.4 cm
As we know average malachite after azurite pseudomorphs aren't super rare while any species replacing
crystallized gypsum/selenite is almost unheard-of by even seasoned veterans and desirable on that account.
It also is hollow inside which is certainly peculiar for a pseudo. Pretty mineral specimen.

S10657 - Diopside - $950
Xinjiang Province, China
Overall Size: 3.4 x 1.2 cm
China has produced an astounding number of minerals, yet diopside remains fairly rare in quantity, surfacing
only twice on the international market. Uncharacteristic groves run somewhat parallel to the prism and are in
my humble opinion very classy. To see through the prism, a lighter shade of mint green is beneficial exhibiting
excellent dispersion. Additionally, its flawless in person and perfect for the collector of quality.

S10658 - Galena with Sphalerite - $300
Commodore Mine, Creede, Colorado
Overall Size: 4.7 x 2.2 cm
Splendid for this American locality! The undamaged galena of 1.7 x 1.5 cm in size sits upon vertically piled
yellowish sphalerites. For my eye the crystals are nicely stacked in an overall aesthetic shape, unusual for
the mine. The surface is highly lustrous in person.

S10660 - Sphalerite with Chalcopyrite and Galena - $100
Commodore Mine, Creede, Colorado
Overall Size: 4.7 x 3.2 cm
Rich miniature of gemmy orange sphalerites that grew with larger chalcopyrites and sharp galenas into
a composite of 4.7 x 3.2 cm in overall size. Nice intermixed group of minerals to add to the collection.
S10661 - Sphalerite with Chalcopyrite - $65
Commodore Mine, Creede, Colorado
Overall Size: 2.3 x 1.8 cm
Cute thumbnail of gemmy orange sphalerites grew next to a larger chalcopyrite group measuring 2.3
x 1.8 cm in overall size. Affordable thumb to add to the collection. In fine condition.
